The sidebar starts with Home and Inbox, when your team has Inbox access. Create groups Playground and Templates; Library groups Projects and Assets; Learn contains Academy. Each available link has its own icon, and every group stays expanded when you navigate or reload. Create, Library, and Learn are section labels. Click a link beneath them to open a page. You can still collapse the whole sidebar to icons and click a group’s icon to choose one of its pages.

Guides and announcements

When you dismiss a guide or announcement while signed in, Melius remembers it for your account across teams, browsers, and devices. This includes the Home, node toolbar, Magic resize, and Templates introductions, plus offer and launch banners. Choosing Don’t show again in the Build-template introduction also follows your account. When you return using a browser with older guide or announcement dismissals, Melius imports those preferences into your account. Preferences that were shared by everyone using that browser are assigned to the first account that signs in after rollout. Once imported, they follow that account across devices. Dismissing an offer banner does not change your eligibility for the offer.

1. Create a project

Open melius.com and sign in. From the team dashboard, click New project. A project is a workspace that holds one or more canvases. In the desktop app, creating a project opens its canvas in a new tab and keeps Home available. On web, the canvas opens in the current tab. Right-click a project in Recently viewed on Home or on the Projects page to open its actions. The same actions are available from the project’s three-dot menu, including Open in new tab, Copy link, and any editing actions your permissions allow.

2. Open the canvas

Every new project starts with a blank canvas. The canvas is an infinite 2D surface — pan with space-drag, zoom with the trackpad or scroll wheel.

3. Drop your first node

Use the toolbar (or hit /) to add a node:
  • Text node — runs a text model and produces a written output.
  • Image node — runs an image model and produces an image.
  • Video node — runs a video model and produces a video clip.
  • Audio node — runs an audio model and produces speech, music, or sound effects.
  • File node — upload an image you already have.
  • Custom text — a static text block you can reference from other nodes.
Type a prompt into the node.

4. Run a generation

Click Run on the node (or press ⌘ + Enter). Melius queues the generation against the model selected on that node. You’ll see the result appear inline when it’s ready. Each run produces a new version. You can flip between versions on a node without losing earlier outputs.

5. Wire nodes together

Drag from a node’s output handle to another node’s input handle to create an edge. The downstream node will receive the upstream output (text, image, or video) as part of its prompt context. You can also @-mention another node directly in a prompt — Melius will wire it up as an input edge automatically.

6. Share or keep iterating

  • Invite teammates from the project settings.
  • Generate a public share link for read-only viewing.
  • Connect the MCP server and let an agent drive the canvas for you.
